Enrolment

Nau mai, Welcome

Our kura is a designated special character school, established under Section 156 of the Education Act 1989. This means that to be eligible for enrolment, whānau must accept and align with the school’s designated character, as detailed in the New Zealand Education Gazette notice of 4 April 2013.

We operate a ballot system for enrolment at all year levels. This includes siblings of current students, who must also follow the complete enrolment process. Please note that as a special character school, our enrolment process differs from regular schools with enrolment zones; living in a particular area does not guarantee enrolment.

Our 2026 enrolment process is now in progress.

Please register your interest in our 2027 enrolment process.

The Two-Step Enrolment Process:

  1. Rēhita – Attend a Tour (Essential)

A crucial part of understanding our kura’s special character is attending a school tour. These tours, hosted by our Senior Leadership Team, allow us to see our kura in action, learn about our values, and ask any questions you may have.

Tours are now closed for the 2026 enrolment process.

Please register your interest for 2027 enrolment.

2. Te Kōwhiri – Pre-enrolment and ballot information

Once you have attended a school tour and wish to proceed with your application, the next step is to complete our pre-enrolment process. All whānau who have attended a tour will receive an email with a link to a pre-enrolment form. This form gathers essential information about the prospective student from caregivers and educators. Following submission of this form, we may contact you for further discussions or interviews as part of the pre-enrolment process leading up to the ballot. We must have this information by the 20th of July.
